Coffee Club July Box

This month, we were lucky enough to work with Mountaineer Coffee, Blazing Bean Roasters, and Kahwa. We put together a box that showcased coffee from the Central and South American regions.

Mountaineer Coffee: Guatemala El Pacayal

  • Roast Level- City (Light-Medium)
  • Notes- Cream, Milk Chocolate, Stone Fruit
  • Process- Fully Washed

This coffee comes from the El Pacayal farm in Chimaltenango, Guatemala  It resides among rich volcanic soils at an altitude between 3,445 – 5,250 feet above sea level. It is harvested between the months of November – March. Cultivated from the varietals of Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai trees, this coffee is shade grown under various species of native vegetation. 

Blazing Bean Roasters: Organic Nicaraguan Segovia Fair Trade

  • Roast Level- Full City (Medium)
  • Notes- Almond, Cocoa, Buttery
  • Process- Washed

Over 2,300 small-scale farmers have joined together to create the Central Multiple Service Cooperative. This Co-Op is located in the Segovia Mountains in Northwestern Nicaragua. The coffee is hand picked and initially processed on the small farms. It is grown at an altitude of 4,100 feet and is harvested between the months of November through March. 

Kahwa Coffee Roasters: Sirocco

  • Roast Level- Full City + (Medium-Dark)
  • Notes- Walnut, Caramel, Honey
  • Process- Washed

Kawha uses a delicate blend of beans from Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica and Mexico to achieve a bold and balanced cup of coffee. Named after warm, dry desert-winds, this rich blend is perfect for an after dinner drink.
