We are so excited to share our February box with you! Patriot Coffee Roasters February

Patriot Coffee Roasters: Papau New Guinea Waghi Valley (Grade A)

  • Roast Level: City+ (Light/Medium)
  • Notes: Tangy, Dark Chocolate, Toffee
  • Process: Washed

About the Coffee: Grown in the Waghi Valley located in the Western Highlands of PNG, this coffee features Blue Mountain, Arusha and San Ramon varietals. Kunjin, as this selection is called, is produced by various subsistence farmers in the region at elevations of 1400 – 1800 meters above sea level. In the cup you will experience a wonderful natural sweetness accompanied by tangy dark chocolate in a dense body. Toffee notes present as the the cup cools.

About the Roaster: Founder Chris McArthur conceived Patriot Coffee after 9 years of owning and operating a coffee house and dealing with the frustrating void created by the lack of a local roaster. He began by roasting on his back porch and selling at farmer’s markets, but has recently launched Lakeland’s first coffee roastery in the blossoming Dixieland neighborhood. In name Patriot is a nod to the armed service men and women who McArthur served with, as well as a call to action for present and future generations to embrace the pioneering spirit of our country’s founders. Patriot’s mission is to source top tier coffees, which are roasted with an obsessive attention to detail, in order to provide the best possible experience for their customers.
