The French Press is very reliable. It is easy to brew and very consistent. Perfect for making multiple cups of coffee in a short amount of time.
Step 1: Bring water to a boil. You can use some of the water to rinse out the French Press and warm it.
Step 2: Grind your coffee. French Press coffee calls for a coarse, even grind. Start with about 56g of coffee (about 8 tbsp.)
Step 3: Add coffee into the empty press. Start your countdown timer as soon as you add hot water (temperature around 200 degrees, just off the boil). Fill it up halfway to the top saturating all the grounds.
Step 4: Give the grounds a gentle stir. Let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
Step 5: Add the rest of your water and place the pot’s lid on top of the grounds. Do not plunge yet. Let the coffee steep for four minutes.
Step 6: Gently remove your french press from the scale and place it on your counter. Press the filter down.
Step 7: Serve coffee immediately or transfer brewed coffee to a carafe or thermos.
Step 8: Grab a mug and enjoy!
